The weather throughout last summer (2007) was terrible. So we were happy it didn't rain on our wedding. It was cloudy and windy, but still a perfect day!

Even though the wedding dress didn't get ready until one week in advance, I felt calm and only looking forward to the day. I don't think I was a "bridezella". But Alexander's mum and my mum were terribly nervous.

At 1:30 pm the limo came to pick up my dad and me and at 2:00 the ceremony started. It was a nice ceremony. My mum and Alexander's dad had a reading, and the priest was very good.

Afterwards Alexander and I were in the park in front of the church to take pictures while the guests (among them, Camilla Nas) left for the reception. Then we had two horses and a carriage that brought us to the place for the evening.

We had a four-course meal that was delicious. I was afraid that the dinner would take the whole night and that the speeches would be long and boring, but I was wrong. I really enjoyed it, all the speeches were short, about 5-7 minutes, concise and funny. And the toastmaster did very well, we were right on time, sitting down from 5:30 - 10:00 pm. Then the band started playing, Alexander and I had our dance to Robbie Williams' "Angels" and after a while it turned into a party, just like we wanted it to be.

We were about 50/50 friends and family, 88 people in total. Some started to leave at about 2:00 a.m. At 3:30 a.m. we had to close down and I think most of us were tired by then--at least I was! Alexander, on the other hand, was somewhat more eager on the drinks than I was. He danced and danced. We slept in a really old tower up in the woods, only three minutes away on foot, but with no shower or toilet... It was very memorable and cosy and at 10:00 in the morning we got breakfast that we ate outside, overlooking the Oslo fjord.

The following Tuesday we left for Bali and had three perfect weeks there. We were lazy and spent most of the time at the beach in front of our fabulous hotel, but had a few trips around the island to explore it. It was the perfect honeymoon place, just as I had imagined. The people were incredibly friendly.

As you can understand, 2007 was a good year for me. Hopefully 2008 will be even better!
