We met at Q's (yes the Sushi Bar and Night Club) on a cold, rainy December night in 1998. We started dating and it turned into a serious relationship pretty quickly. Fortunately, my parents agreed to my staying in CA for school after my year at EF instead of going to university in Germany. So the following August, we moved in together. In December 1999, Robert got a new job in San Diego. Because I was already enrolled at SBCC, this meant that we would have to commute back and forth between San Diego and Santa Barbara. I guess that was when I realized that this was going to be "IT", the REAL THING! Once the semester was over, I moved to San Diego.

For our first Thanksgiving in San Diego we decided to go camping, since all our friends were in Santa Barbara. We found a nice campsite in the mountains. He proposed to me on our hike after we had had lunch at the peak of the mountain. Everything was just perfect: beautiful weather, the view, and we two.

After all this, we got married this year in Germany, on June 8, 2001.
