O la la, Santa Barbara = A LIFETIME EXPERIENCE ! No worries, swimming in the pool of SB's beach, laughter with friends, love in the air, fun school (Allie Kay, Linda, ..), nature's beauty, yoga, Barnes & Nobles, American fridge, Joe's Café, Paradise Café, beach-volley, Mustangs, a coffee mug, Burger King, smoothies, sushi, Shell beach, SLO, and many more nice, sweet things I remember about SB.
Once back in Belgium, I took my stuff and traveled a bit around the world for another year of exciting adventures in which I made wonderful friends, learned to listen to everyday people with different roots, opened my eyes and mind, enjoyed quiet moments, magnificent scenery and much more this world offers !
It took me a long time to adapt to the "Belgian way" again, but I've managed to strike the golden mean between work and social life even though some of my friends still believe I'm an alien from Mars.
UPDATE!!! We got married last Saturday (8th of January) "en petit commité", which is
French for "no big party, just
in the City Hall and afterwords dinner for the family". A big party will
take place sometime in the
summer of 2006, when baby is ready to join us at the party...oh la la...samba
samba...shake that body... |
