After returning to Switzerland, I had to adjust quite a bit to the Swiss
lifestyle again. Everything seemed to be the same as when I left, only I
had changed. This caused some misunderstandings in my relationship, which
was still with the same man as before SB!
In order to use my English regularly, I was looking for a job with daily use of English. Only after a couple of weeks I found a job with Zurich Financial Services, where I still work. Starting as administrative assistant, I moved into different worldwide projects and teams where I was responsible for communications, mainly in the area of reporting and intranet solutions. I traveled a couple of times to the US, to Chicago and Phoenix for my work. I've also been to New York and the upper east coast for a wedding of a very good friend. |
In 1998 I went to New Zealand. My sister was down there studying English for couple of months and so we travelled all over the South and North Island of New Zealand. On my flight back to Switzerland, I stopped over in Los Angeles and spent two weeks with my friend Sakura (who was in the same family back then) in Santa Barbara. That was my last visit to SB. |
Two years ago Thomas and I decided to get married for our ten year
anniversary! For our honeymoon we went to South Africa, which was quite an
adventure! While driving through the Krüger National Park, we saw the 'Big
Five' and other wildlife, sometimes closer than we wanted! But luckily
elephants do NOT see little white VW Polos as their enemies! :-)
Thomas and I live in a little house between Zurich and Berne and enjoy the freedom of doing whatever we like, partying and making noise as much as we want and as late as we want! But living in a house also means work, and besides looking after my two bunnies, I have to see to it that the weeds are not growing too high. Gardening gives me a good balance to the work I am doing and I enjoy having my own salads, vegetables and fruit! |
